Essential skills & experience:

You'll need to:

Have proven experience operating CNC machinery for sheet and panel cutting.
Have experience setting up and operating an edgebander.
Be able to assemble cabinet carcasses and fit hinges, runners and other ironmongery.
Read technical drawings, cut lists and job specifications accurately.
Measure confidently to the millimetre.
Understand manufacturing tolerances and quality standards.
Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely.
Work independently without constant supervision.
Identify common production faults and take appropriate action.
Safely handle sheet materials, panels and completed cabinetry.
Maintain a clean bench and organised workspace.

Desirable experience:

It would also be useful if you have:

CNC programming experience.
Experience adjusting or optimising CNC programs.
Machinery maintenance or fault-finding skills.
Experience training or supporting less-experienced colleagues.
Ideas for improving workshop workflow or production methods.
A full UK driving licence.

The role (day to day):

Operate CNC machinery to cut sheet materials and panels accurately.
Set up and operate the edgebander.
Assemble cabinets and fit the required ironmongery.
Check materials, dimensions, machining and finishes throughout production.
Quality-check completed cabinetry before it leaves the workshop.
Organise your workload around production priorities and delivery deadlines.
Keep work moving smoothly between cutting, edging, assembly and despatch.
Wrap completed cabinetry and prepare it for delivery.
Help load the van and support deliveries when needed.
Take deliveries and help book in materials.
Complete routine cleaning and operator-level machinery maintenance.
Look after tools and equipment and report issues early.
Keep the workshop clean, safe and organised.

£15.00 per hour (negotiable dependant on experience)
Permanent, full-time employment.
Consistent weekday hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.
